Born in San Jose, Costa Rica he received his Bachelors in Architecture from Universidad del Diseño.  In 2001 Manfred received his Masters Degree in Theory and Criticism of Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture at Rice University in Houston, Texas.

During his tenure at Rice, he worked for Carlos Jimenez Studio where he participated in various published projects.

In 2001 he joined Morris Architects in Houston, Texas where he was Lead Design Architect in various projects, from Retail, Mix-Use, Office Buildings, Interior Design projects and others.  He joined RTKL, Inc. in Dallas, Texas in 2003, where he was the Lead Designer of big scale projects in the US and Panama. These projects where primarily Retail, Mix-Use, Hospitality, Housing and Master Planning.

In 2005, he moved back to Costa Rica hired by Zurcher Arquitectos to lead big scale projects. As a Senior Project Architect he worked in Hospitality, Mix-Use, High-End residential houses and Master Plan Projects.

As a founding partner at DALAB Design + Architecture lab, Manfred is in charge of the architecture projects. He is responsible from the first project approach “parti” to the construction documents and inspection.

The founding members of DALAB Design + Architecture lab are MB, SS, when it started operations October 2006.  Today it is a medium size firm with High-end housing and interior design, big scale housing master plans and landscape projects, and identity planning projects most of them in Costa Rica and diversifying in Panama and Honduras.

We are committed to exploring innovative design solutions in all fields of expertise, with feasible design solutions.  DALAB is a service oriented firm built-up of young professionals with extensive background experience.

Nacido en San José, Costa Rica, Manfred recibió su Licenciatura en Arquitectura en la Facultad de Arquitectura y Estudios Ambientales de Universidad del Diseño en 1999.

En el 2001 recibió su Maestría en Arquitectura con énfasis en Teoría y

Crítica de la Arquitectura en la Facultad de Arquitectura de Rice University en Houston, Texas.

Durante sus estudios de posgrado trabajó durante 1.5 años

Estudio del prestigioso arquitecto Carlos Jiménez.  Dos de los proyecto en los que trabajó se publicaron en Architecture Magazine.

En el 2001 se incorporó a Morris

Architects en Houston, Texas y como Lead Design Architect estuvo a cargo de varios proyectos de  grande embergadura en el área comercial, uso mixto, edificios de oficina y diseño interno.

A mediados del 2003 empezó a trabajar en RTKL, Inc. en Dallas, Texas y como Lead Design Architect diseñó proyectos en EUA, Panamá y México.  Estos proyectos en su mayoría fueron comerciales, de uso mixto, hotelería y planeamiento maestro.

En el 2005, volvió a Costa Rica contratado por Zurcher Arquitectos para liderar proyectos de grande embergadura.  Como Senior Project Architect  trabajó en proyectos de hotelería, uso mixto, casas residenciales de lujo y planes maestros en esos campos.

Como socio fundador de DALAB Design + Architecture lab, Manfred se encarga de los proyectos de arquitectura, desde las primeras conceptualizaciones del ¨partí¨ de los proyectos hasta la elaboración de Planos Constructivos y la Inspección.
